Unbande is back!

Jazz/Classical crossover group will perform on April 1

Unbande returns for another Jazz Soiree on Thursday, April 1 at the Cyrus Reed Theatre on the 2nd floor of the Reed Opera House!  Buy tickets online, or by calling Travel Salem at 503-581-4325 (extension 21). Complimentary wine and dessert reception is included with the ticket price. Special thanks to our sponsor First Pacific Corporation, and our partners at the Reed Opera House! Tickets are $25 and $15 for students in advance, $30 and $20 at the door. Proceeds benefit Salem Chamber Orchestra – your local professional orchestra!

Danny Seidenberg, Daryl Silberman, Noah Seitz, and Christopher Woitach will play a fun, personable, energetic show on April 1, playing tunes you will recognize, but with a twist… see this video for their recent performance of the Beach Boys’ classic “Good Vibrations”!

More about the band (or, excuse me, the un-band…)

In addition to playing for orchestras across the country and being a long-time member of the Turtle Island String Quartet, Danny has also recorded and toured with Steve Reich, the Village People, Liza Minelli, Tony Bennett, James Brown, Richie Havens, Led Zeppelin, Black Eyed Peas, and Smokey Robinson.

His wife Daryl has an equally formidable resume; she’s played and/or recorded with Guns and Roses, Depeche Mode, Al Stewart, Michael Sherwood, Larisa Stow, Darryl Purpose, Robert Morgan Fisher, E.B. Fraley, and many other singer-songwriters and bands.

Jazz guitarist Christopher Woitach, based in Portland, has played with Bernadette Peters, Rich Little, Hank Roberts, Bob Mover, Tony Monaco, Mel Brown, and John Stowell. He regularly performs throughout the Pacific Northwest, and at jazz festivals in the U.S. and Canada. CHristopher’s recordings have been played on broadcast and internet radio stations across the globe.

Cellist Noah is admittedly the newbie to this style of music, although you wouldn’t guess it after hearing him play! He plays in orchestras throughout the Valley, and just opened the Keizer Academy of Music and Arts with his pianist wife, Sara Greenleaf Seitz.
