Salem Chamber Orchestra joins forces with Willamette Master Chorus for epic performance

Willamette Master Chorus

That’s right, epic! We’re filling the stage of Hudson Hall at Willamette University for a landmark performance of Beethoven’s monumental 9th symphony on Saturday May 1 at 7:30pm and Sunday May 2 at 3pm!

Dr. Paul Klemme, Master Chorus’ music director, will lead the orchestra in this historical performance of the 9th symphony.  Featured vocal soloists will be Natasha Kvach, Allison Swensen-Mitchell, Joseph Michael Muir, and Konstantin Kvach.

Also featured on the program is soprano Elizabeth Pullen, winner of the 2009 Willamette Solo & Aria Competition. She will be performing Dvorak’s beautiful “Song to the Moon” aria from the opera Rusalka.

Willamette Master Chorus will also be joined by members of the Portland Symphonic and Willamette University Chamber Choirs.

Volunteers still needed!

Both concerts are sold out!! We’re looking forward to having two full houses, lots of energy and great music!

We will start a waiting list at the door in case there are any no-shows. We will do the best we can to accommodate everyone, but due to venue capacity (and the fire marshall!) we can’t guarantee that we will be able to seat walk-ins.

We still need some volunteers to fill critical staff positions at the concert! We love our volunteers! If you are available to help sometime between 1pm and 6pm on Sunday, please email info@salemchamberorchestra.org!
